Introduction of Geophysical Exploration Methods


Geophysical exploration is short for geophysical prospecting. 

It's a branch of geophysics.  It is based on the theory of physics and takes the earth as the main research object.  It is a basic method of deep geological survey and an indispensable means of mineral resources exploration and evaluation.  It has the characteristics of fast, telemetry and large amount of information.  It is easy to absorb modern science and technology. 


Based on the theories, methods and observation techniques of physics, geophysical exploration methods are generally divided into: Magnetic method, gravity method, electric method (including more magnetic method), elastic wave method (including seismic method and acoustic method), nuclear method (radioactive method), thermal method (geothermal method) and logging and other 7 categories, and ground, aviation, ocean, underground 4 working airspace.
