Overview
WDJD-4A is a new DC electrical instrument developed on the basis of WDJD-3A, with higher accuracy and more measurement parameters. It is widely used in metal and non-metal mineral resource exploration, urban geophysical exploration, railway bridge exploration, etc. It is also used in hydrological and engineering geological exploration such as finding groundwater, determining the location of hidden dangers in reservoir dam foundations and flood control embankments, and geothermal exploration.
Accurate detection principle
The multifunctional digital DC induced polarization instrument works based on the core principle of DC induced polarization. By sending a DC pulse current of a specific frequency and intensity underground, a pair of power supply electrodes are used to conduct the current into the earth, forming an electric field in the underground medium. Different geological bodies respond to current very differently due to their electrical properties such as conductivity and polarizability. When the power supply stops, the secondary potential generated by the polarization effect of the underground medium is captured with the help of measuring electrodes. Its parameters such as polarizability and attenuation characteristics are closely related to mineral resources and geological structures. With high-sensitivity sensors, precision analog-to-digital conversion and digital signal processing technology, the instrument can accurately quantify and analyze weak potential changes, draw a "blueprint" of the underground electrical structure, and detect depths of several meters to hundreds of meters, providing key data support for geological exploration.

Project Cases
WDJD-4A multifunctional digital DC IP instrument was used for IP depth sounding and IP profile measurement. First, a reasonable measurement network was arranged according to the geological map and the on-site topography, and the power supply electrodes and measuring electrodes were inserted into the ground according to the designed spacing and depth. The instrument was set to a suitable current intensity and frequency to ensure that the current can effectively penetrate the overburden and stimulate the polarization effect of the underground ore body. During the measurement process, due to the presence of certain electromagnetic interference in the mountainous area, such as lightning and local geomagnetic anomalies, WDJD-4A, with its strong anti-interference ability, effectively suppressed these interference signals and obtained stable and reliable data.
