TEM


Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) equipment is used for geophysical exploration, particularly for locating subsurface minerals, hydrocarbons, and groundwater. TEM equipment generates an electromagnetic pulse that travels through the ground and interacts with the electrical conductivity of the subsurface. The response of the subsurface is recorded by the equipment and analyzed to create a map of the subsurface electrical conductivity, which can help identify the location and properties of the target resource.
